New World Network 20220721

What is New World Network?

New World Network is a project created by the artist Niko Abramidis &NE in collaboration with CodCat. The NWN project has set itself the task of bringing web3 from vision to reality.

What is web3?

Web3 is not a clearly defined term. It is a vision for the future of the internet, where decentralized technologies allow users to take control of their data and construct a more friendly and trusted digital world.

There are several emerging application spaces in web3, including NFTs and DeFi. However, few of these projects directly address the fundamental constraints of web2, and even fewer produce something of value for the average internet user.

Are these tools and projects sufficient in helping us achieve the vision of web3?

Although these technologies- particularly blockchain- can lay the foundation for new digital realms, many of these tools are mere experiments on the precipice of a new reality. Both the technological and social layers of the web3 ecosystem remain broadly underdeveloped.

In the New World Network we use dedicated hardware nodes to prototype the data network of the future. We also deliver a user-friendly and reliable blockchain Interface. With NWN, we use NFTs and various concepts of crytocurrency in an energy efficient and scalable ecosystem to provide convenient web3 applications.

And this is just where the journey of the New World Network and web3 begins.

What can this web3 offer us and how can it be better outlined? We think web3 is not a technology that replaces existing. No, it is more a new layer in the existing web that will simplify things and solve existing problems.

Web3 is often referred to as a decentralized semantic internet that puts blockchain at the center as the key technology.

But!

Every network needs infrastructure or at least hardware to run on. Blockchains are no different, they are mostly basically nothing more than peer to peer networks with a consensus mechanism and in the case of web3 enabled blockchains they are mostly equipped with an evm to run the code of the web3 application in a decentralized manner.

If we now take a closer look at blockchain networks, we will see that decentralization is a key aspect that ensures the security and invulnerability of these networks.

This type of network should have as many nodes as possible and be in the hands of independent persons, i.e. a large community, and in no way be controllable by individual persons or entities.

Most of the time this is not the case in reality, many blockchains have a significant lack of decentralization. No matter which consensus mechanism or approach we look at, we often find reasons why existing and new networks are becoming more and more centralized.

For example, in pow chains, we see more and more centralization in huge mining pools and farms. Since it is for a variety of aspects for a normal person hardly possible to run his own miner.

Consensus mechanisms like staking which should solve this problem are centralizing. The reasons are different, but they lead to the same problem. There are also often staking pools formed here because individuals can not raise the often high amounts of stakes.

A big reason here is also that it is not technically easy to run your own stacking node. It is much easier to deposit your coins with a stacking provider and let them run the staking node. Which leads to a considerable centralization of these networks.

We think the solution to this problem is simple – enable any person to run a node on a compatible blockchain network, even without significant specialized knowledge.

It must be as simple as connecting a router to the internet.

with the new world node, it is easy to run a service like a staking node or an ipfs pinning service at home in a real community-based decentralized network and thereby create the basis and foundation for web3.0
